The SS nose, part 3

(04/27/00) It's time to start reassembly.
Here's the bumper, pad and bracket assembly ready to be installed.

The bumper assembly is back on.

Then I installed the light buckets and their outside brackets.
They still need adjustment and final fastening.

Then the fascia went on for another test fitting. It's lookin better.

Here's a three-quarter shot. You can see that the center part is filled out by the foam pad.
It's taking shape now. I'm startin to get really excited.
I might just order a roll pan from Lauren Engineering to replace the rear bumper while I'm at it.

(04/28/00) I had to buy the connectors for the high beams, then I spliced them into the high beam wires on the outer lamps. I'll enclose the wires in plastic conduit later.

Hey! They work! How bout that! Even the parking lights.

Here's a three-quarter shot again.
The headlights line up a lot better now and although you can't see it in this pic, the parking lenses are installed in the fascia.

Here's the final light test of the evening.
Looks like we lost a lamp between the first test and setting the fascia in place.

Next page: Final assembly.
