New Wheels, Tires and Tonneau cover
A while back I bought a set of 8x15 snowflake rims from a neighbor.
The price was right and I always liked the looks of that style rim.
The only problem was that I couldn't make 'em shine to save my soul.
So I had a local metal shop media blast the centers and polish the rims. A little better, eh?
Then I cleaned the surface with lacquer thinner and masked off the rims.
I sprayed 'em with gold lacquer and Eastwood's Mag Wheel Sealer.
Then they got a set of new 235x60/15 BFG T/A radials.
These replaced the Goodyear Eagle GT+4s that my wife had used for torture testing
over a median strip (and blew out 2 sidewalls.)
Then I prepped the spoiler for painting.
It'll be mounted at the end of the tonneau cover.
And it got a few coats of gloss black.
Here's the front part of the hinged tonneau being fitted in place.
And the rear part of the cover. I haven't installed the spoiler yet.
The spoiler went on real easy.
Just drilled 5 holes, tightened down the nuts and trimmed the studs with a cutoff wheel.
Looking better. It could use some paint now. Bright red or flat black with flames? Hmmm.
