The Crunchy
Some days just don't go quite the way you want 'em to. I was approached by a young man in the
neighborhood who needed a project for his auto mechanics course on braking systems.
Unfortunately he had a little "incident" in the school parking lot.
It wasn't as bad as I first thought it was.
The brightwork is trashed and the metal is stretched in a few places but nothing that a
couple of pounds of Bondo can't fix.
Just kidding. We'll repair it the right way. (We'll use duct tape...the handyman's secret weapon)
He got the backside of the wheelwell, too.
It could have been SO much worse. It's just sheet metal.
Nobody got hurt, unless you count a little pride.
Well, he had the quarter panel damage repaired.
Unfortunately, we found a lot of rust inside the door. So we're looking for new, rust-free doors,
hopefully with power windows and door locks. Stay tuned.
Note: Those doors never got replaced. They're still on there as of November, 2008.
